• Straight driveshaft layout eliminates U-joints for reduced friction, noise, vibration, and maintenance.
• Automatic cam chain tensioner reduces engine maintenance and helps extend engine life.
• Two-lobe overhead cam and a pair of needle-roller rocker arms reduce friction by 50 percent for increased fuel efficiency and torque.

The piston shape has been modified and compression ratio raised from 9.1:1 to 10.0:1, for an increased power feeling throughout the rev range.
• The front and rear A-arms are longer while suspension stroke on both the front and rear shocks has also increased. These adjustments greatly enhance low speed rider comfort without sacrificing any of the legendary Grizzly handling.
• Yamaha Electric Power Steering provides progressive assist at slow speeds and over rough terrain while maintaining optimized rider feedback, superior comfort and terrainability.
